Aris Arakelian is a professional water polo coach and also holds a lifeguard certification. Since 2014, he has been the manager of Total Gym, where, in addition to administrative duties, he also provides swimming lessons. There has been an excellent and long-standing collaboration between the Larnaca Nautical Club and Total Gym.
He began his coaching career in Keratsini in 1993 with AOK Themistoklis. From 1995 to 2001, he served as a coach for Ethnikos Piraeus in various roles, earning numerous distinctions. Notable achievements include:
– 1st place in the national youth and junior championships in 1995,
– 1st place in the girls’ category in 1997,
– 1st place in the youth championship in 2000, and
– winning the men’s cup in 2001.
He later coached at the Nautical Club of Itea, returned as head coach of Ethnikos Piraeus in 2005, and then led Olympiacos Piraeus in 2006, the Nautical Club of Nafplio in 2010, and the Nautical Club of Corinth in 2011. He has also served as a technical director for various clubs.
Since 2013, he has been coaching at the Larnaca Nautical Club.
